A workday in the life of …

… Medical Writer Bonang Masilo.

How do you manage to combine two professions in your everyday life? Bonang is an inspiring example of how it can work! In addition to her work as a medical writer and medical affairs manager, she also works in a hospital. 🩺

Her day typically starts at 6:00 a.m. with a warm lemon water 🍋 – then it’s off to the hospital to work in the gynecology department. The daily ward rounds are the best part of her working day, because the contact with the patients is close to her heart.

Around 15:30, she swaps her white coat for something more comfortable and slips into her second role, that of a medical writer. Bonang’s journey at DREHM actually began in pharmacovigilance, but her keen interest in scientific writing eventually led her to the MW team, where she is thriving! 🤗

Structure is a must in Bonang’s varied everyday life – that’s why she always takes notes while working 📝 to keep an overview. Her favourite tea with ginger, which she always has to hand, helps her relax in between.

And if she still has any energy left, she works out at the gym after work. But she also loves cosy evenings in front of the TV with a bowl of popcorn 🍿.

Thanks to her flexible working hours, Bonang can combine her love for medicine with her passion for writing and is therefore completely happy!
