The information officer – simply explained.

You are involved with pharmaceutical advertising? Then you must work in marketing? 🤔

A question that one or two Information Officers have probably already been asked.

Including our IO Natascha Gansinger. High time for clarification! 💡

Regulatory Affairs employee at DREHM Pharma

In companies that sell medicinal products, the Information Officer keeps an eye on all scientific and advertising information that is released to the outside world.

✅ This information is checked and approved by the IO with regard to topicality and quality. This includes advertising materials and some non-promotional materials, e.g. training documents.

Information Officers are therefore effectively the interface between Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Marketing. 🤝

Natascha first got a taste of the subject in 2020 after Mario Koller was looking for IO support for a customer. She knew that it had something to do with pharmaceutical advertising 💊 – she now knows a lot more and is our main contact for IO topics.

👉 For customers, we offer the position of the Information Officer as a full package, as a deputy or as a simple advisory function.

On 9 December, we will also be hosting the next meeting of MEGRA’s Information Officer working group at our office on the topic of ‘Judgements that every IO needs to know’ – we are looking forward to it! 🤩
